Our Spelling Words

In 3rd grade we have a spelling test on Fridays.  On the weeks we have days we are not in school, we occasionally do not have a spelling test on those weeks.  We spend that time pre-testing instead. Every student has a different spelling list in order to individualize learning.  We spend time throughout the year pre-testing the students in order to create a bank of spelling words for all students, this way no child has a spelling word that they already knew how to spell.  Your child's spelling list will come home in his or her tiger folder on the first day of the week.  I check the spelling lists for correct spelling, however, I occasionally miss some spelling mistakes, so please double check them at home.
