I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1980 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. During my career I've taught children at the elementary and the junior high level. I completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in October of 2010 from American College of Education.

I am the mother of three boys Benjamin (20), Jon Paul(18), and Samuel (16). When the boys were old enough they were given a pet to care for. Her name is Daisy (11).Believe it or not, I'm not a pet lover. We now have two more dogs, Murphy, a chocolate lab, and Lily is a 3 pound yorkie mix.

Benjamin is taking on line classes with Full Sail University with a major in video game design. Jon Paul will attend Parkland Junior College in the Spring with a major in Landscape Design and Project Management. He is currently working with a landscaper in town. Samuel is a Sophomore at NCHS. He is active in Drama, the swim team and the orchestra. 		Parents should:
  • empty homework folder every night


  • check the assignment notebook daily


  • sign the assignment notebook only when the assignments have been completed


  • make sure your child reads 30 minutes per night
 Parents will be sent an update on their child's IEP goals every 9 weeks on the following dates:
  • October 21
  • December 21
  • March 16
  • Upon annual review

The first 9 weeks the quarterly report will be sent individually. The following three reports will be sent with the report cards.
