
CPR
OBJECTIVE: To make the students more aware that they can make a difference in the world today through lifesaving procedures.
CURRICULUM: This section of the course is taken right out of the Red Cross teaching manual. Both teachers are certified to teach and certify students that successfully complete both the physical and written part of this unit. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is necessary in the world today. By successful completion of the course the students can make a difference in our society today.
MATERIALS USED: The Red Cross teaching manual and video will be used to instruct the class. Overhead, TV/VCR and manikins will also be necessary to help instruct.
HANDS ON LEARNING: Our hands on project for this unit will be the physical part of working on the manikins. The chairs will be pushed back and the students will be working on the manikins on the carpeted floor.
