FITNESS

 

OBJECTIVES:  To help the students understand the importance of keeping their body in tone for their daily activities.  Also, to help the students design a seven day fitness plan that will beneficial  for their development.

CURRICULUM: We'll first begin with an introduction on why fitness is necessary and base our information on history.  Second, we'll decide what is necessary for development and develop a plan.  Last will be the consequences if they don't decide to be physically fit.

MATERIALS USED:  Poster, activity, organization, video and consequences will help illuminate this subject.

HANDS ON LEARNING:  In the unit the students will be out of their chairs at certain times learning, physically, what certain words mean..  A fitness word will be defined and the student will move to an appropriate place and perform the word.  A 7 day fitness plan will be required in hopes that the student will learn to start planning out a day with physical activity for their individual daily needs.
