Community Trips
As part of our curriculum in the 4th-5th grade DD program we have incorporated community based trips. These trips enable all students to experience different destinations within and around the Bloomington, Normal community. We focus our trips on learning and working on skills such as communication, identifying community signs, recycling in the community, and money skills. All of our trips are also reinforced in the classroom by working individually and as a group on these skills. These trips begin the process of getting ready to becoming independent and working in the community. The following trips are scheduled for our class:
Trips will all be on Thursday afternoons.
