Welcome to first grade. I am very excited to work with these talented
students. I have been teaching at Oakland School for 20 years. Most of
those years have been in First Grade. I have lived in Bloomington/Normal
most of my life. My father is a former professor at ISU. This is where I
attended college. I received my Bachelors of Education and my Masters
degree both from ISU.
My husband is a farmer in the community. We live in Bloomington with our
two children. They are 12 and 14 years old. I enjoy being a busy mother.
They like to be involved in many activities!
Classroom Information
I look forward to working cooperatively with my students' parents. You
may reach me by email,
written note, phone (662-4302), or make an appointment to meet with me
in the classroom. Please use your child's Daily Folder as a tool to
deliver and receive all written information. It is important that you
check it daily for notes, assignments, and announcements. It will be
checked in the classroom on a daily basis as well.
Monthly reading lists and homework calendars encourage skill development
through practice sessions at home. Please work with your student to
complete these activities each week.
