GRADING POLICY

Grading in the Art room can be a challenge. Therefore, I am creating this page to inform you how your child will be graded in the Art room.  Your child receives an Art grade posted in January and May. Grades are based on skill development, behavior, and participation.

The following components will also be included in determining your child's grade:

Neatly Done

Few Mistakes

FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS

Successful Completion

Effective Use of Time Management

USE OF NEW TECHNIQUE

New Technique Not Used

Limited Use of New Technique

Successful Use of New Technique

PARTICIPATION

Active Participation

Active Participation/Questions Asked

BEHAVIOR 

Good Behavior, Respectful

Needs Occasional Redirection

 Assignments and grades will result with one of the following:

                                                                M=Meet Expectations

                                                                 NI=Needs Improvement

                                                        *=Not Assessed
