1. Please bring a pencil to every rehearsal.
  2. No food or drink (except water) is allowed in the orchestra room.
  3. Students are responsible for having their music at every rehearsal.  Lost or ruined music will result in a fine.
  4. All folders are to be returned to the Music Rack at the end of each rehearsal.  Music may be taken home to practice but must be returned for rehearsal the next day.
  5. Instruments are needed at every rehearsal.  All instruments should be put in cases and placed on the rack or shelf after rehearsal.
  6. Each student will be given a binder for class projects and assignments.  This binder needs to stay in the orchestra room.
  7. Daily participation, attendance and attention are factors in determining your grade.  This includes having your instrument and music at every rehearsal.
  8. Please mark all concert dates on your calendar and notify coaches and employers.
 

Factors Determining Grades
Approximately 70% of your grade is determined by:
  1. Participation Grade= up to 5 points per day
  2. Playing Tests= 20 points each
  3. Concerts= 100 points each

 
Approximately 30% of your grade is determined by:
  1. Class Assignments= 20 points each (includes listening, reports, compositions, etc.)
  2. Final Project= 100 points
 

Concert Dress
Women:  ALL BLACK blouse, ALL BLACK tea-length skirt or ALL BLACK dress pants (not leggings), BLACK shoes, dark or natural hose

Men:  ALL BLACK dress shirt with collar, ALL BLACK dress pants, BLACK socks and shoes
