| Allie Barringer |
| Allie is the daughter of Susan Kirk and Dan Barringer. She has one brother, Andrew. Allie began the violin in fourth grade at Washington Elementary School and continued through Bloomington Junior High School. While she was at BJHS, she participated in the IMEA Festival. Allie has a number of activities outside of school including cross-country and track, mission work with her church, socializing and going to movies with her friends and a job at Gene's Ice Cream. Next year, Allie will attend Augustana College and study Clinical Psychology. | |

Mari Fike |
| Mari is the daughter of Karen and David. She began playing the violin in fourth grade at Oakland Elementary School and continued in orchestra at Bloomington Junior High School. Throughout her violin career, Mari has studied privately, participated in IMEA and performed at Solo and Ensemble Contest. For fun, she has played in the Sounds of Christmas orchestra and performed duets with her friend, Laurel. Besides playing the violin, Mari is active in the Drama Department at BHS. She also likes drawing, writing, reading, traveling, cooking and eating, listening to music, and running. She currently works at DEB and plans to attend college at Illinois State University where she will join the ISU Orchestra. She is planning to major in biology, though that may change. This summer she wants to go to Six Flags. | |

Matt Gill |
| Matt is the son of John and Virginia. He has a younger brother, William, who currently attends Bloomington Junior High School and is in 8th grade. Matt began playing cello in fourth grade at Washington Elementary School. He has been involved in the BHS Drama Department, working with the technology aspect of the productions. Outside of school, Matt enjoys playing sports. He plans to go to college next year. | |

Molly Kissel |
| Molly is the daughter of Ben and Sharon. She has one sister, Emily and a brother, John. Molly began playing the violin in fourth grade at Stevenson Elementary School and continued to play at Bloomington Junior High School. She began taking private violin lessons in 5th grade and continued those through her sophomore year. Molly enjoys other activities outside of school including shopping, spending time with friends, listening to music and participating in her church youth group. Next year, Molly will attend Illinois State University. She plans to become an elementary teacher. | |

John Look |
| John is the son of Alan and Becky. He began playing the viola in fourth grade at Oakland Elementary School. John has attended all the orchestra trips at BHS, traveling to St. Louis, Indianapolis, Chicago and Milwaukee. Outside of school, John enjoys scouting, video gaming with friends, sleeping and reading. Next year, he will attend the University of Evansville and majoring in Engineering. He hopes to study in the United Kingdom in 2009 through the University of Evansville study-abroad program. | |

Hannah Maurer |
| Hannah is the daughter of Michelle and Tim. She has an older brother, Luke and a younger sister, Claire. Both of them play the cello! Hannah began viola in fourth grade at Bent Elementary School. She continued playing throughout Bloomington Junior High School. Hannah has been active as a violist, participating in IMEA, Solo and Ensemble Contest and the Sounds of Christmas orchestra. She has also been a member of the BHS String Quartet for four years. Besides playing the viola, Hannah enjoys soccer, reading and traveling. Next year she will attend the University of Oregon as a Spanish major. This summer, Hannah will spend a month of intensive study in Costa Rica. | |

Laurel Merz |
| Laurel is the daughter of Jane and Don Underwood. She has a younger brother, Thomas, and her sister Kristi plays cello. She began the violin in fourth grade at Oakland Elementary School and continued to play in orchestra through Bloomington Junior High School. Laurel has competed in Solo and Ensemble Contest and enjoys playing for fun with her friend, Mari. Together, they performed "Jingle Stars" in the Downtown Bloomington Christmas Walk. Laurel's other activities include writing, reading, traveling, hanging out with friends, listening to music, cooking, playing badminton and running. Next year, Laurel will attend Bradley University, majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing. Following college, she would like to travel to Japan, France, England and Ireland. Her goal is to be a novelist. | |

Angie Miller |
| Angie is the daughter of Cathy and Eric. Her older sister, Jenny, played the violin when she attended BHS. Angie began playing the viola in fourth grade at Washington Elementary School and continued through Bloomington Junior High School. Outside of school, Angie enjoys playing the piano and playing with her pets. Angie plans to attend Heartland College next year. | |

Katrina Rice |
| Katrina is the daughter of Lura and Kevin and the sister of Cassandra. She began the violin in fourth grade at Stevenson Elementary School and continued to play through Bloomington Junior High School. Katrina's other activities include reading, playing tennis, shopping, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Next year, Katrina will attend Illinois State University and major in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. Her goal is to live in England and be an actuary for Lloyds of London Insurance. | |

Hamsika Santanam |
| Hamsika is the daughter of Kasturi and Sudha. She began playing the violin in fifth grade at Oakland Elementary School and continued at Bloomington Junior High School. Her performance activities include IMEA and Solo and Ensemble Contest. Hamsika has also been a member of the Bloomington-Normal Youth Symphony. Her other activities include listening to music, swimming, playing guitar and photography. Next year, Hamsika will attend Washington University in St. Louis. She hopes to someday work with the Peace Corps or UNICEF. | |

Gentry Scott |
| Gentry is the daughter of Sheryl and Mick and has a brother, Ambrose. She began the violin in fourth grade. She has performed at the Academy of Music and the Arts and at Victory Academy. Besides playing violin, Gentry enjoys singing, dancing and spending time with friends. Next year, she will attend Eastern Illinois University as a biology major. Gentry wants to work as a reconstructive plastic surgeon. | |

Katie Trowitch |
| Katie is the daughter of Sharon and Richard. She has a brother, Adam and a sister, Jennifer. She began playing the violin in fourth grade at Bent Elementary School, but started piano when she was in second grade. She has continued to play both piano and violin throughout her years at Bloomington Junior High and here at BHS. Katie has performed at the annual Piano Festival and has competed in Solo and Ensemble Contest. Outside of class, Katie is very busy. She is involved in cheerleading, track, dance, 4H, French club and Student Council. She is a member of the French Honor Society and National Honor Society. This year, Katie was chosen as a Rotary Student of the month. Next year, Katie will attend Illinois Wesleyan University as a chemistry major with a focus on a career in Dentistry. | |
