Homework, what's the point?
Students are assigned homework to practice their skills and show their understanding of concepts they've learned. It is also used to inform the teaching on 6H1.
Homework will be assigned on a regular basis. We expect students to turn homework in on time. Early in the school-year students have the opportunity to turn in late work without receiving a major penalty to their grade. Students can use lunch time or after school to complete late work.
In January, or the beginning of 3rd quarter, the late policy changes. Students that do not complete homework on time may have their grade on the homework reduced by 40% or more, or the late work may not be accepted.
