This is my fifth year teaching at Oakland. I teach Kindergarten and First grade.

I grew up in a small town called Wonder Lake, IL. There I spent most of my summers waterskiing on their show team. It was always my dream to become a teacher. I went away to Illinois State University to become a teacher. To keep active in college I was a member of the Gamma Phi Circus. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education.

I am married to Jeff O'Brian. He the project coordinator for the Energy Department at Growmark. We live near Stevenson School. We have a son name Liam who is one year old. We spend lots of time playing and laughing with him. We have a cockatiel bird named Gus. We also adopted a dog named Autumn from the CISAR shelter.

In our free time we enjoy the outdoors. We spend most of the summer boating, skiing and enjoying the lake. We also like to spend time on our back deck. We have recently started to enjoy traveling. We make visits as often as possible to see my parents in Arizona.
