Thinking about dropping Algebra?
Here is what you need to think about.
You can drop within the first 10 days of the 1st or 3rd quarter without any penalty. If you drop during the first 10 days of 1st quarter, nothing will show up on your high school transcript. If you drop during the first 10 days of 3rd quarter, you will receive a grade for the first semester of Algebra only on your transcript.
If you drop during the 1st or 3rd quarter (other than the first 10 days), your transcript will show withdrawal passing (WD) or withdrawal failing (WF) depending on your grade when you drop.
If you drop during the 2nd or 4th quarter, you will receive withdrawal failing (WF) for the semester regardless of your grade. If at all possible, you want to avoid dropping during 2nd or 4th quarter.
