We developed this program because we noticed a deficit in
critical thinking
skills, especially in problem solving within our math curriculum. We want
children to be confident, successful problem solvers. We feel this unit will
teach the students a process to be more thoughtful and analytical while problem
solving. Since problem solving is taught at all levels and throughout the
curriculum, we want to give our students a "jump-start" at the
beginning of each semester.
