What's the Word?
Vocabulary Options

Choose 1 of the following projects - Word Search, Crossword Puzzle, or List of Definitions - and complete it by the date on your syllabus.  All projects must have your

  • name,

  • chapter name and number,

  • date, and

  • class hour

written on them.  Remember:  No credit will be given for late work!!!


Vocabulary Project 1:  Word Search

Create a word search puzzle using at least 30 (or number given on syllabus) of the vocabulary words from chapter 1. 

·        Project must be typed or written on graph paper and clearly legible

·        Project must use at least 30 (or number given on syllabus) vocabulary words

·        Word Search must have a title

·        Must use definitions to give clues as to what words are hidden (don’t include the words – make the player figure them out!)
i.e.  Instead of listing the word angle--- you'd write:  The union of two rays with a common endpoint is a _________.

·        Include a separate solution copy

 

Vocabulary Project 2: Crossword Puzzle

Create a crossword puzzle using at least 30 (or number given on syllabus) of the vocabulary words from chapter 1.

·        Project must be typed or written on graph paper, and clearly legible

·        Project must use at least 30 (or number given on syllabus) vocabulary words

·        Crossword Puzzle must have a title

·        All clues for crossword puzzle must be included with puzzle, clues must reference definitions of the word

·        Include a separate solution copy

 

Vocabulary Project 3:  List of Definitions

          Write out ALL of the words given on your syllabus and their definitions for this chapter.

·        Include the word and the definition of words

·        Definitions must be legible, complete and words must be spelled correctly!
