  • Investigate to see if you can prove triangles congruent by SSS
  • Investigate to see if you can prove triangles congruent by SAS
  • Identify ways that don’t work to prove triangles congruent

Homework:  Read and take notes on p. 405 – 409 and do p. 409 # 1 – 14, 16 - 17

    • Identify applications of congruent triangles in the world around you
    • Classify types of bridges and explain what makes them rigid and strong.

Homework:  Finish sections 8.1 – 8.3 in your blue book and study for the mid-chapter quiz tomorrow

  • Use transformations to help identify possible congruent triangles when there are overlapping triangles.
  • Prove two triangles congruent by first proving two other triangles are congruent – Detour proofs!!
  • Review the types of proofs – 2-column, paragraph, indirect, flow proofs
