DECK PROBLEM

Your family is building a deck on the back of your house and tomorrow is the day for you to lay it out.  The dimensions of the major part of the deck are 15’ x 18’ and it is to be a rectangle with perfect 90° angles.  Your mom wants a hot tub and wants it put in half of a regular hexagon attached to the 18’ side.  The first thing is to get the rectangle.  Then attempt the half of a regular hexagon.  If you are able to get the half hexagon done, you’re mom will buy the hot tub and you’ll get extra credit!

Materials that you’ll have to work with:  25’ measuring tape, string, 8 stakes
