Alejandre is designed for middle and older elementary school
students, and includes classroom activities for four different
squares: Lo Shu, Sator, Dürer, and Franklin, demonstrating
number complexity and symmetry. Links and suggestions for history,
geography, and writing activities for teachers interested in
interdisciplinary work are included.

Lesson
plans using statistics and the Internet With all the
data currently on the Internet, the Office for Mathematics,
Science and Technology Education felt it would be beneficial to
have lesson resources for teachers who would like to involve
statistics and the Internet in their classroom. Some of the
lessons have the students collecting data one day and then
collecting data from the same place the next day and analyzing
them. With the Internet we are using data that is not out-of-date
or unimportant.
Math Magic - K-12 project that provides strong motivation for students to use computer technology while increasing problem-solving strategies and communication skills.
Mathmania This is a resource site for students and teachers. Mathematicians post open math Problem Solving and Mathematical Reasonings.
Feedback is encouraged between students and the mathematicians.

Mathematics

with maps. It includes a history of cartography, the basics of
scale, longitude and latitude, projections, career information,
teachers' notes, and a rich list of geography links. Problems use
web-based technologies to solve.

MegaMath! is intended to bring unusual and important mathematical ideas to elementary school classrooms so that young people and their teachers can think about them together. Activities included in
this well-designed site are supported by background information,
concepts, materials, and more. These lessons cover all the strands
and grade levels K-8.
