Earth quakes crush the foundation causing the house to collapse tornados however pull up on the structure and rip it to shreds. To prevent a structure from falling from a natural disaster give the structure a little wiggle room if its entirely firm it will not be able to relive the stress caused by the moving and wiggling of the ground or make it more aerodynamic, but the building needs to be sturdy to do that you can make buildings from brick, steel, concrete, wood, and glass… very strong glass.

The strongest geometrical shape to make a structure is a triangular prism. Don't make it too tall if it is the structure will buckle in the middle so the minimum height will do fine. There is really nothing you can do to the fold to make it stronger than the paper is. Your project structure should be round and have as little folds as possible. Inside the structure there should be fan shape corrugation. The width of the structure should be half as wide of whatever is on top of it. About the project... TEACHERRRRR make a different interview sheet!
Our structure was a deformed cylinder with springs and spirals in it looked like the painting with the stairs going in different directions. Although it passed all expectations and held a whopping 370lbs. I was incredibly impressed.
I could have made my structure better if I added more corrugation and smaller cylinders inside the main structure. I could also have made the top a little more even. |
