Graphics make a web page very interesting and pleasing to the eye. However, graphics that are too big or having too many of them on one page can really slow down the loading of your page. Choose them wisely and with a purpose to keep the page clean and effective. Always obey copyright laws when using non-original art work or photos. The most common forms of graphics are either image files saved in .jpg (joint photo expert group - most photos) or .gif (regular or transparent) formats. Animated graphics are usually saved as animated .gifs unless they are video clips. The most common use of graphics on web pages include backgrounds, clip art, animations, bars and bullets. You can find graphics of any color and for almost any purpose on web sites designed just for this purpose. But don't forget, you can scan pictures in yourself or make them using software such as Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop, Print Shop, and many web page editors. Save your graphics in .jpg or .gif formats when you make them. Have a good time and use your creativity.
