Lake Zurich and Clinton are both hometowns for me, although I graduated
from Clinton High School in 1979.
I live in Normal with my husband of 26 years, Jamie Scharf, and we have
three nearly-grown children. Danielle is 23 years old and works for a
local bank. Jay, 22, attends Eastern Illinois University. Alex, our
youngest daughter is 20 and attends Loyola University in Chicago. She is
currently studying in Rome, Italy. I am planning to see her in
November; it will be so exciting to see her and a little bit of Europe!

I have been going to school for 45 years! This is my sixth year at
Oakland school and my 23rd year of being a principal. Prior to
becoming an administrator I taught for 7 years in Lincoln and at Metcalf
School. I am
fortunate to have worked in my "dream job" for most of my career!

Although the days of attending
three children's activities in an evening have come to an end, we attend all types of
sporting events throughout the community.
I take pride in the eight scrapbooks I created for our family, but regret the loss of
the dining room and the tremendous mess that results. My family is quite patient as I
slowly complete these "masterpieces"!
Reading is something I hope to do more often and especially enjoy David Baldacci, John
Sanford, Patricia Cornwell, and James Patterson.
I listen to Christian and Country music...at least when my children are not with me!
Attending concerts with my friend and my daughters is a special treat.
We are fortunate to have wonderful neighbors with whom we enjoy spending time. Some of our
favorite activities include boating and eating out often! |
