Research your Debate Topic

Day Two

  • Go to http://www.google.com

  • Type in the subject of your affirmative argument                           

            For example:

            Your affirmative argument is fast food causes obesity, so try typing in fast food obesity

            Your affirmative argument is fast food causes heart disease, so try typing in fast food heart disease

  • Print out the article that you found. Remember you want to use trustworthy sources (magazines, newspapers, organizational websites). Personal websites are not considered trustworthy.

 

Day One

  • I have a search engine I want you to use. All the articles found on this site will be trustworthy sources.

  • The username is bjhs and the password is knights

  • Once you get to the website, enter the username and password.

  • Type your topic in and click on "search" .

            For example:

            Your topic is Fast Food Restaurants Do More Harm Than Good, so try typing in fast food

  • Find 2 articles - one that supports the topic (says that fast food does harm) and one that argues against the topic (says that fast food can be healthy or has good purposes).

  • Click here to go to the website.
