Hello there!
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! I am starting my 25th year of teaching and this is my 13th year at Bent Elementary-D87. I am originally from Plainfield, Illinois where I started my teaching career in 5th grade at a small parochial grade school- the same school I attend as a child. I taught there for 3 years and then the tornado of 1990 came through and destroyed our school and town. I moved onto the public school system and worked for Troy District 30C in Shorewood/Joliet Illinois where I taught 5th grade for 9 years before moving to Bloomington with my husband.
As you can see I love the water and my husband and I enjoy trips to wherever a beach or water can be found. We have a wonderful dog named Enzo whom we rescued from the Midwest Akita Rescue Society. He is about 2 years old and keeps us on our toes!!
As always I am looking forward to another great year at Bent... the home of the SUPERSTARS!
