I began teaching Technology at BJHS in 2004. The students within this building do a great job of keeping me young at heart and up to date on current events. I wouldn't want to teach any other grade level or subject, shocking I know. I am currently in the process of redesigning the jr. high technology curriculum. Its an exciting time for our department, a lot of remodeling will take place this summer to accommodate our needs. We will have a new 36 student station computer lab and several work areas were students can brainstorm project ideas before heading to the computers. I can't wait to get started next year and see how everything works out. If you would like you can check out my Moodle site to see some of the curriculum. You can log in as a guest.
I was a participant in the Feast a several years ago and really loved the experience. After the Feast and a few ICE conferences, I started bugging Jim about being a trainer and here I am heading into my second year.... Thanks Jim!
My current tech interests include trying everything Google has to offer, del.icio.us (it's a book marking website) and the traditional things like Movie Maker, PowerPoint and most Microsoft products. As I am building the new BJHS Technology curriculum I am also working extensively in Moodle.
I am excited to return to the Feast as a non-rookie trainer and help as many eager techies as possible or make non-techies a little more knowledgeable.
See you at the FEAST! Kristen
