Q4 Government Interview Reaction
The goal of this assignment is to encourage students (citizens/ future voters?) to gather a variety of opinions about the government and then to develop their own ideas about the topic based on the results of their conversations.
A. Interview Phase: Students must interview six people (at least 4 of
voting age).
(One interview can be self and one can be a peer, so there are really only four outside interviews.)
Interview Questions:
1) In terms of the present, describe something the government does well and
something they do poorly.
2) In terms of the future, describe something you would like to see the
government do and something they should not do.
3) In terms of taxes and spending, describe the government functions you most
and least appreciate.
4) Does the government really affect your life? Explain.
Take notes of the responses for each interview.
B. Use the Reaction Guidelines to write a reaction to the interviews. Your reaction must include at least one reference to a specific comment by each person you interviewed.
C. Submit your interview notes and reaction.
