Andrew Jackson Segments

Goal: Students will select and view video segments from the life of Andrew Jackson.

Goal: Students will demonstrate an ability to connect their prior knowledge of Andrew Jackson with new information.

Goal: Students will use their personal knowledge about Andrew Jackson to rate him as a leader.

1) Do you like Andrew Jackson?  Explain.

2) For each segment you watch (watch as many as you can in the time available):

a. Write a 3 sentence summary.

b. Cite something specific from the segment information about Andrew Jackson and describe how it fits with your opinion of Andrew Jackson.

c. Draw an image that communicates an important idea from this segment.

3) Watch the T of T video:

a. Describe a taste, smell and sound that go with the video.

b. What do you 'see', 'know' and 'feel'?  Explain.

c. Has the 'feeling' of the video changed since you saw it the first time?  Explain why or why not.
