I moved
from the Southwest Chicago suburb of Palos Heights to Bloomington/Normal in 1977 to attend Illinois Wesleyan University. I received a B.S. in Theater from there. I am also an alumni of Illinois State University and hold both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Curriculum and instruction. I continue to take classes at Illinois State. I know what it is like to be a life long learner.
I have been lucky enough to teach at Stevenson School for over 20 years. For most of that time I taught fourth grade, but moved into the Learning Center in 2001.
I am married and have two children. My wife, Mary, is a teacher in the Olympia School District. My children, Fletcher and Flannery, are both students at Normal West High School.
I enjoy magic and have been performing for more than 30 years. I also enjoy gardening and hiking.
