The Social Studies Department at Bloomington High School provides students with a rigorous curriculum aligned to both Common Core Standards and the new Illinois State Standards for Social Studies. Our curricular programming is designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity and teach students critical thinking and analytical skills. These skills will help students become discerning consumers of information and enable them to become productive and effective scholars and citizens.
