District 87 provides free developmental screenings of Pre-Kindergarten children who live in the district. The screening, designed for 3 to 5 year old children, looks at speech and language development, thinking and reasoning abilities, muscle coordination, social skills and other readiness skills. The child's vision and hearing are also screened. The screening helps answer questions about a child's development and identifies children who are eligible for one of our programs.
Screening for children birth to 3 may be available through our partnership with Early Intervention.
Pre-Kindergarten Screenings will be held:
- April 20th and 21st, 2023
Appointments are required. Parents/guardians need to complete one of the three questionnaires noted below. Once the questionnaire is completed, an email will be sent to you with a link to sign up for an appointment.
