    UIUC’s FarmHouse fraternity chapter

    MALE students only




    FarmHouse offers multiple $500-$5,000 scholarships every year to incoming male students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 

    Eligibility for the scholarship isn’t dependent on the student’s choice of major or on any commitment to membership in the fraternity. Last year we gave out $16,000 in funds and this year we are hoping to exceed that amount.

    Temple Hoyne Buell Memorial Scholarship



    Alpha Zeta Delta of Chi Psi Fraternity

    This $1,000 scholarship opportunity is for incoming freshmen men who will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Fall of 2020. Chi Psi a social fraternity that is committed to the growth of individuals in an environment which nurtures integrity, dignity and maturity. Academic achievement is also fundamental as well as community involvement.

    Jim Rutherford Scholarship - Conservation



    The Jim Rutherford Scholarship has been established by the McLean County Soil and Water Conservation District to assist outstanding agricultural students at any Illinois College. The student awarded the scholarship should demonstrate superior agricultural academic achievement, commitment to soil and water conservation and potential for innovation and/or leadership ability. The 2020 scholarship award will be $500.


    Any student who is currently a high school senior and will be enrolled in an Agricultural program for the 2020-2021 academic year at any college (junior college or four year university) in Illinois is eligible.

    Illinois Sheriff’s Association Scholarship



    The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding over 100 scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2020-2021 academic year. The student must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois. There shall be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin.

    The only limitations are the following: Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents. Scholarships are to be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois. Students must be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2020-2021 school year (excluding summer session).



    How to Apply:

    Applications are available at local sheriff’s offices or the internet at www.ilsheriff.org

    Fill out the application, complete the written essay and return all documentation to the sheriff’s office in the county of your permanent residence by March 15, 2020 (must be postmarked by this date). Do not send completed applications to the ISA Office! You must mail them to the Sheriff’s office of the county in which you reside!

    CBAI Foundation for Community Banking Annual Scholarship Program



    Recipients are determined by an essay-writing contest and in impartial panel of judges. Eligible students are Illinois high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2020 and entering an institution of higher education in the fall of 2020. They must be U.S. citizens and Illinois residents. The immediate family member of community bankers and part-time employees are not eligible to enter.

    The prize awarded for the overall winner is $1,000 per year for up to 4 years of higher education, with up to 11 additional awards of $1,000 and up to 12 second place awards of $500 each. A check for $500 will be presented to the winning student’s school.







    Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship for Children of Hy-Vee Employees or Hy-Vee Employees



    The Illinois Food Retailers Education Foundation will award a number of Illinois Food Retailers Scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year.

    High school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are:

    1. Sons and daughters of full-time employees of firms that are members of the Illinois Food Retailers Association. The parent employee must have been employed for at least two years as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

    2. Part-time employees who are full-time students employed by firms that are members of the Illinois Food Retailers Association. The applicant must have been employed for at least six months as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

    All applicants will be notified in May of 2020. Winners must enroll in college as full-time students in the fall of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

    ICF Conservation Achievement Scholarship



    The Illinois Conservation Foundation offers the Conservation Achievement Scholarship to promote the value of our natural world and encourage the next generation of leaders to engage in personal efforts to preserve and enhance a sustainable outdoor environment.


    This opportunity is available to outstanding high school seniors in Illinois who have demonstrated effective, voluntary, long-term dedication to the preservation, protection, enhancement and/or promotion of Illinois’ natural resources.


    --Be a senior in an Illinois high school during the year of the scholarship award

    --Be an Illinois resident

    --Be able to provide specific examples of voluntary, effective contributions to Illinois’ natural resources throughout his/her high school enrollment

    --Be enrolling in a two- or four-year college or university program of study in the calendar year of his/her high school graduation

    --Be a student in good standing at his/her high school and possess a 2.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale (3.1 grade point average or better on a 5.0 scale).

    Leon M. Abbott Scottish Rite Scholarship



    The applicant must be a member of or directly related (bloodline or by legal means) to a Scottish Rite Mason in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. 

    Also eligible are a members of youth organizations sponsored by the Masonic fraternity in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. The recipient must be either an undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year. While all other scholarships require a B average, The Abbott has a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 grade scale.

    Grand Lodge of A.F. & A. M. Illinois Scholarship



    To qualify, applicants must have a father or grandfather who is an Illinois Master Mason. There is no residency restriction for the applicant. The applicant must have a “B” average. Applicant will receive the scholarship for one year only but may re-apply for additional years.
