About Mrs. Malisia

  • Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  I am beyond excited to be teaching 2nd grade and working with you and your student this year!  This is my 11th year teaching at Oakland, and I absolutely love the students and staff here!  I look forward to a fabulous school year!  Thanks for sharing your student with me!

I graduated from Bradley University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education.  I also graduated from Illinois State University in 2014 with a Master's degree in Reading.

My husband, Joe, and I have two beautiful and precious daughters, Claire (5), and Kate (3), and we are expecting our 3rd child this year!  We also have a fun, sweet black Lab/German Shepherd mix at home named Addy (9).  We love to spend time with "our 3 girls", our families, and our friends as much as possible!
