Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!  I am beyond excited to be teaching 2nd grade and working with you and your 2nd grader this year!  This is my 14th year teaching at Oakland, and I absolutely love the students and staff here!  I look forward to a fabulous school year!  Thanks for sharing your student with me!

I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor's degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I also graduated from Illinois State University with a Master's degree in Reading.

My husband, Joe, and I have four beautiful and precious daughters, Claire (8), Kate (6), Gwen (3), and Eve (3 months)!  We also have a fun, sweet black Lab/German Shepherd mix at home named Addy (12).  We love to spend time with "our girls", usually outdoors!

STAR Binder:
Our STAR binders stand for "Students Taking Action and Responsibility". Please review the contents of your child's binder each evening for daily behavior information, important notes, and weekly homework.
Newsletter:
Our newsletter is sent out via Remind every Friday.  It contains academic information for each content area, fun photos, and other important information.
Reminders:
-  Remind your student to read for at least 20 minutes each night!
-  Practice basic addition and subtraction facts (0-9) each night!
