Mrs. Lisa Penner

Welcome to the Oakland School music website.  My name is Lisa Penner.   I am currently in my 16th year of teaching and sharing my love for music with your children.  I received my bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and my my master's degree in Music Education from Illinois State University. I am currently working on a second master's degree in Special Education. My education prepared me to teach students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, but I always knew I wanted to teach elementary school. 

I am married to my husband Jon. We have a yellow lab named Ginny and two daughters.
