• District 87 eLearning Days

  • District 87 has finalized plans to utilize eLearning Days in place of emergency days, when necessary.
eLearning Days are intended to provide access to learning on days when there are school cancellations. While these days cannot replace the face-to-face time students have with their teachers, it can provide continuous learning when school is cancelled. eLearning Days also eliminate the need for makeup days at the end of the school year. Last year, we surveyed families and over 85% of the respondents said they valued the eLearning day option.

    Preparation for eLearning Days

    • For PK-5 students:
Teachers have prepared packets with assignments to be completed in case an eLearning Day is issued. These packets were sent home Friday Jan. 17, 2020. Please keep these materials in a safe place in case an eLearning Day occurs. Assignments will also be uploaded to each school website.
    • For 6-12 students:
If an eLearning Day is issued, students will utilize their district-issued computer or personal device to access assignments from teachers.

If you have any questions regarding eLearning Days, contact your building principal. If you have questions about assignments during eLearning Days, contact your student's teacher.
