Mrs. Baldwin
If you're visiting this page because you have a kindergartener coming to Stevenson, WELCOME! You've come to a good place where your child will learn and grow and will have opportunities to embrace our diversity and rich experiences we offer. Our kindergarten team is (in my very biased opinion) the best! I'm so glad you're here.
Since you took the time to stop by, I'd like to share a little about me. Here I am by the numbers!
3--beautiful children who make us proud in their individual ways
5--college degrees in our family, but Illinois Wesleyan is the one I call home
16--years at Stevenson, all of which have been in kindergarten
1--job as coach's wife--you might know Mr. Baldwin the track/football coach!
28--years of teaching--all but 2 have been in D87
5--marathons I have run, some of them faster than others
30--average number of miles I run a week
2--yoga mats I own--one for home, one for school
4--animals living in my house at the moment
2--cups of coffee I drink every morning, but just one if it's a latte ;)
Q & A

Will I be able to visit my child's classroom?
Posted by:Although details have not been announced, I can assure you that all teachers at Stevenson hold parent relationships as a high priority. We know how much you love your children and we know how important your involvement is with your child's education. We will get creative, work together, and will develop the best plan we can. Thank you in advance for your committment to work with us.

What health protections will be used in schools?
Posted by:We will be following the guidelines from Illinois State Board of Education and Governor Pritzker. Children and staff are asked to wear masks and distance by 6 feet. Surfaces will be sanitized nightly. Your child's safety and staff safety will be at the forefront of planning.
-
What supplies will my child need for school this fall?
Posted by:Pleae plan to purchase only those supplies your child will want to have at home. The district will be providing supplies this year for student use at school.
-
Will my child be in-person learning or remote learning?
Posted by:You will have July 20-August 4 to let the district know if you want In-person Instruction or Remote Learning for your child. It's very important that your student is registered for the 2020-21 school year through Skyward. Follow the instructions provided here to register your child.
