Ms. Jennifer Shay - Administrative Assistant

Hello, My name is Jenny Shay.  I started working in the educational field in 2006 as a bus monitor so that I could have a schedule that was compatible with my children. I have two wonderful children, Hope, who is 24 and lives in Michigan, and Hayden, who is 21 and lives in Bloomington.  

In 2010, I became a special education paraprofessional where I worked with the Olympia school district until 2019.  I then went on to Unit 5 school district and worked as a paraprofessional until 2022. I started working for District 87 in February 2022 as a special education paraprofessional at Sarah Raymond.  Although I have loved working as a paraprofessional for the last 12 years, I was ready to get back into office duties that I used to do.  

I am so excited to be a part of the Washington Elementary Family as the Administrative Assistant and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
