  • Book Care and Checkout Procedures

Posted by Lauren Cottrell on 8/10/2020

Second graders will focus on reviewing the proper ways to take care of a book and checkout procedures. It will be especially important for second graders to return their library book as soon as they finish reading it this year, as they will be invited to Open Book CheckOut (OBCO) times each day. This means, they will have the opportunity to visit the library each day to check out a new book! OBCO is daily from 9-9:15.

    Taking Care of a Book:

    • Read with CLEAN hands
    • Keep art supplies AWAY from your book
    • Use a BOOKMARK
    • Turn pages from TOP CORNER
    • Carry your book in your BACK PACK
    • Keep in SAFE place
    • Return you library book ON TIME
