• Family Involvement

An important part of a child's development is the role of the parent/guardian. Parents/guardians are encouraged to be an active participant in their child's academic and social and emotional progress.  Parent/guardian programs and volunteer opportunities are offered at various times throughout the school year.  In addition, various workshops, seminars, and classes are offered for parents/guardians.

    Parent Only Activities:

Help-A-Teacher:  Volunteer to help your child's teacher. Come do projects such as tracing, laminating, cutting, and making copies.

Educational Seminars:  We will have various parent only activities scheduled on education topics such as nutrition, talking with your child, children's literature, and disciplining your child.

Spring Fling:  This annual event depends on parent volunteers to help run games and do crafts with students.

Hope Packs:  This program offers food bags once a month to interested families that qualify for free or reduced meals.  We need volunteers to help sort, pack and organize the food bags.

Other:  Teachers appreciate donations of classroom supplies. These extra materials are of great importance in offering our students a variety of items.

You will receive flyers for each of these events that contain important information regarding the date and description of the activity.  Please check your child's backpack daily to look for these flyers.
