Hi! I'm Stacy Hornbacker and am currently a kindergarten teacher at Oakland Elementary School. This is my 17th year teaching! I grew up in Peoria, Illinois and came to Bloomington to attend Illinois State University for Early Childhood Education.  I was fortunate enough to be placed at Oakland for my full year student teaching and have never left!  Over the last 16 years, I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade.  Shortly after starting my teaching career, I returned to ISU for a Master's Degree in Reading.  I have also taken graduate work in Special Education and Technology.  I am also a wife and mom to four amazing kids!  My stepdaughter Haylee is 17, Chloe is 11, Emily is 9, and Chad is 6!  They keep me very busy in my "free" time.  We also have a golden retriever named Coda.
