About Me
I am so excited to be an Oakland Owl! Although this is my first year at Oakland, I have worked in the District for 7 years; at Sarah Raymond and Sheridan. I’m excited to possibly reconnect with former students and their families. :)

Growing up in town, I went to Bent Elementary, BJHS and BHS. I ran track and cross country while earning my degree at University of Alabama (Birmingham). After subbing in District 87 and working as a paraprofessional, I decided to complete my Master’s in special education and become a teacher. I love the field and am so excited to be the kindergarten and 1st grade LBS1. 

I live in Bloomington with my husband John and our two young children, Isla and Caleb. You are sure to find us outside! We love going to different parks in town, visiting the zoo, taking family bike rides and swimming in our pool. We had a wonderful summer, and I look forward to a wonderful school year. I can’t wait to enjoy memorable experiences with my friends in the first grade!
