Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library Front Cover

Oakland School is excited to announce that we are participating in an all-school book club called One School, One Book. Today your child received a copy of the novel Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein as a gift for your family to read aloud together. We encourage you to join our Oakland community of students, families, and staff members in this reading adventure!

While reading with their classmates, students will participate in classroom discussions and other activities focused on our book!

At Home – Games of all sorts are featured throughout this book! Work together as a family to design a game(see the family handout sent home). We can’t wait to display the games created by our Oakland families!

In the Community – Join your Oakland friends and teachers at various locations around town as we come together for shared events that connect with the story. More information about these events will be sent soon.
