Fall picture re-takes are scheduled for Monday October 23rd, Re-takes are for any students who DID NOT HAVE a picture taken because of a absence or being new to Irving. Students may also have their pictures taken again if need be by turning in their proof or actually fully in tack picture package. We will be conducting our annual Lockdown Drill with our students and staff. A few extra officers from the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) will be present to assist us as well. We feel it is very important that students and staff be prepared and react properly if we ever have to lockdown Irving Elementary. Should we ever need to actually lockdown Irving Elementary. for safety reasons, we will adjust our procedures as necessary to help keep everyone as safe as possible.
To ensure the success of our drill, we request the participation of all students, however, if you would like your student to opt out of the lockdown drill, please contact Nessa McGill, my office assistant at 309.827.8091 or by email at mcgilln@district87.org, no later than the end of the day on Tuesday, October 17th. Students opting out will be assigned to an alternative location outside weather permitting. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Thank you and have a great evening.

Parents that ordered picture packages, those will start being sent home in bookbags Thursday Oct. 12th & Friday Oct. 13th IT'S NOT TOO LATE! You can still order picture packages, a proof will come home with your student, go to inter-state.com/support and make your order there. If your student DID NOT HAVE A PICTURE TAKEN, retakes will be in Monday Oct. 23rd. For those students needing retakes YOU MUST KEEP EITHER YOUR PICTURE PACKAGE fully in tack and or the It's not too late form to turn back in.
