Washington Elementary School

Washington fifth grade students are going to Sarah Raymond to help the Rookies. This is an annual event that our 5th grade students look forward to. Part of our Wolf creed is to "teach the young" and our students do a great job at this.

We hope that all of our students, staff and their families have a great Thanksgiving break. We hope that you get to spend lots of time with your families and we will see everyone back on December 2nd.

Busy Corner pie order pick up will take place today from 3:30-5:00pm. Once the car rider line is finished families can pull up on State Street near the cafeteria to pick up their pies. If you have any questions please call the office at 309-829-7034. These pie were only available for pre-orders

Monday, November 15th Our 4th and 5th grade students will be attending the U of I Field Trip Day to watch the women's basketball game against LeMoyne. If you marked that your student will be taking their lunch please remember to send it to school with them.

Join us for our fourth monthly Dine to Donate event for Washington School for the 2024-25 school year!! This event runs from 5 pm-9 pm. Please watch for the flyer to come home on the 13th or check our Facebook page. Please be sure to show the flyer to the cashier when you place your order.....make sure to mention Washington School in the app or at the counter, please!!

The All School Popcorn Day and Wolf Den Store have been rescheduled for the month of November. They will now take place on Tuesday, November 26 due to an assembly in the gym during the originally scheduled time.

Lunch with a Loved starts today. Please check the schedule for the date and times that your child eats and visits the book fair. If you have multiple students and they are on different days you are more than welcome to eat with the all at their lunchtimes on the same day. There is no school on Monday, October 14th, due to the holiday.

Unfortunately our fridge is not back in working order. We.Fit.In - Kick Off - 2 Mile Walk/Run Ewing Park II (Emerson St to Ethell Parkway) Sunday, October 6th @ 1:00pm For all Washington School staff, students and families! No Cost to participate and everyone who participates will receive a ribbon. (All students must be accompanied by an adult to participate or watch) Sign up with the form sent home. Tomorrow 09-25-24 is "Dress like the 70s" for Rock Your School Week." We are looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. From bellbottoms to tye-dye, there are so many choices! Learning is Groovy!! ✌🏻

This is a great chance for our new families to meet staff and other families, kids to get to hang out and play with their friends and staff to get to know parents and families better. We hope to see you all there!
