Welcome to the World Languages page!  The specific mission of our department is to lay a foundation for a lifelong appreciation of language study.  This includes introducing students to the study of language, teaching them to respect other cultures and customs, and exposing them to the richness and diversity found in traditions other than their own.  We are committed to providing students with high-quality instruction of language as well as literature and cultures of the French- and Spanish-speaking people of the world.  We encourage our students to think critically, question their cultural assumptions, and immerse themselves--outside of class--in the target language and culture.  Our favorite leisure time hobby is traveling to other countries so we can share our experiences with our students!
