This honor comes from his outstanding leadership, commitment to student-athletes, and the strong culture of athletics he continues to build in D87. Even cooler? 👀He’s now one of seven finalists in the running for the State AD of the Year!
This is Tony’s second time earning the Division 5 title (also honored in 2022–23), and we could not be prouder.

🎉 Even though the school year is in full swing, D87 is still excited to welcome new employees, and we’re excited to welcome Kelsey Bradford to Stevenson!
Kelsey recently joined Stevenson Elementary as a 4th-grade paraprofessional. She previously taught 4th grade at Fieldcrest in Minonk during the 2016-2017 school year, but took time off from education before returning to work at a local doctor’s office. Now, she’s excited to be back in the classroom, especially since her schedule aligns with her son Maximus, who is a student at Stevenson!
This year, Kelsey is looking forward to getting to know her students and supporting their learning and growth.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys McDonald's Coke 🥤, thrifting at local shops, attending sporting events and concerts, and spending time with her family. ❤️

Coach Mables brings an incredible wealth of experience both on and off the court:
👉 Principal at Cedar Ridge Elementary School in Unit 5
👉 Former collegiate athlete at the University of Texas El Paso, where she helped lead the team to a Conference USA Championship and an NCAA March Madness appearance in 2008
👉 Transferred to Union University, leading the team to back-to-back NAIA National titles in 2009 & 2010.
👉 Her leadership extended off the court, with administrative roles in Rantoul and Champaign Unit 4 school districts, all while making time to coach!
From the classroom to the court, Coach Mables is a true leader, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to BHS- let’s go, Lady Raiders!

"🌼💀🕯 Check out the altar displays of Bent and Sarah Raymond for "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead).
To celebrate this beautiful tradition of remembrance on this special day, students and staff created "Dia de los Muertos" altars that include the favorite meals and drinks, as well as pictures and mementos, of the departed. 💕 Meanwhile, at BHS Kelcie Sundberg's Spanish classes enjoyed some Pan de Muerto to celebrate after learning all about the Dia de los Muertos!

🍎📘 An inspiring day for BHS Future Teachers Club at Illinois Wesleyan, led by BHS teacher, Sondra Findley! Nine aspiring teachers participated in an Educational Studies class, taught mini lessons, toured the campus, and enjoyed a "lunch & learn" at the Saga cafeteria.

🐴💙 Last Friday, Irving School held its monthly Mustang Meeting! These meetings are all about coming together, learning, and growing as a school community.
Each month, students mix with other classes and teachers to discuss important topics—and this month's focus was Being Compliant at Irving! 🗣️✨ Students receive color-coded bracelets and meet with the teacher who has the matching color. This activity gives them a chance to connect with peers outside their class and meet other teachers in the building, all while focusing on what it means to be the best Mustangs they can be! 🐴🌟
