The cutest part? Cuddling the praying mantis plushy Miss Jill brought along! 🥰

This past Saturday, the Raiders dominated the IHSA 2A Regional hosted at Lincoln High School, clinching the win! Six wrestlers earned Regional titles, showcasing the strength they bring to the mat.

Not only did the team emerge victorious, but 13 individual wrestlers are advancing to the IHSA Sectional (whoop! whoop!) this Thursday in Mahomet. 🥇💪

🐾📖 Animals Galore at Stevenson (and not just tigers!)! 🐅✨
4th graders at Stevenson took a walk on the wild side as they proudly presented their animal projects to loved ones, friends, and staff! 🦁🐻🐍 Over 10 weeks, these tiger scholars explored everything about their chosen animal—from habitat and diet to fun facts!
The best part? They turned all their hard work into a book to share - it was a "roaring" success🖊️📚 !

This week, Ms. Willyard’s and Mrs. Butts’ government classes had a special guest—Illinois House Representative Sharon Chung! 🌟 Rep. Chung shared insights about her role as the representative for Illinois’ 91st district, answering students’ questions and introducing her staff.

💜Throughout the year, we are always excited to welcome new employees, and today we have a very special addition to the D87 family! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Cael Wolfe, who will be working as a paraprofessional at BJHS! 🎉
This isn’t quite a “new” welcome, as Cael has been part of the D87 community his whole life—he attended D87 schools, just graduated early from BHS, and is now joining the team!
Fun fact: Cael comes from a true D87 family! His mom is a 2nd-grade teacher at Oakland, and his dad is a PE teacher at BJHS. 💪📚 Talk about keeping it all in the family!
But that’s not all—Cael is also part of the St. Jude family, as a childhood cancer survivor. His story and resilience inspire us, and we couldn’t be more honored to have him as an official member of the D87 team.
Here’s what Cael shared about his new position:
“As a former District 87 student, I wanted to come back and help those who helped me all these years! I’m looking forward to building relationships with the students and working alongside the teachers I had in junior high.”
