Art teacher Mrs. Mariani and her 8th-grade students took on an inspiring project for Black History Month. They created micrography drawings, where shading comes to life through words, of influential African Americans. Each student chose a figure to honor with their artwork. 🖌️

✨ BCA Spotlight: The CNA Program! ✨
Did you know the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is one of BCA's most popular courses? With approximately 150 students across 3 sections, this program offers incredible hands-on experience and real-world learning opportunities!
🏥 How it works:
*Students spend 2 days a weekdoing clinicals at Westminster Village for hands-on training.
*The other 2 days are spent in-class learning essential skills.
At the end of this year-long program, students take the CNA exam to earn their certification—and many go on to work at Westminster Village! 🙌
💡After certification, there are still classes at the BCA for those who wish to pursue a career in healthcare:

9 Raiders from the Future Teachers Club took a trip to Heartland to explore opportunities open to them in their journey to a career in education. They learned about dual credit programs offered to BHS students, including the ECE certification program and Associate in Arts/Associate in Science programs.
With interests ranging from elementary to middle to secondary education, today’s group represents the future of teaching, and we hope to see them back in D87 as educators one day! 🌟
